STATEMENT OF FAITH

ARTICLE 10

THE CHURCH AND THE ORDINANCES

We believe that the Church is the universal Body of Christ, consisting of all who genuinely belong to Jesus Christ through faith and the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the supreme Head of the Church.

The local church is a covenant community gathered for worship, biblical teaching, prayer, fellowship, discipleship, spiritual formation, pastoral care, service, generosity, evangelism, mission, discipline, and witness.

We believe Christ gives ministry gifts and leaders to His Church to equip the saints for the work of ministry and maturity.

We practise:

Water Baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as the public identification of a believer with Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.

The Lord's Supper in remembrance of Christ, proclaiming His death, celebrating our fellowship in Him, and anticipating His return.

These ordinances testify to the Gospel but do not save apart from genuine faith in Jesus Christ.
