TRUST & GOVERNANCE

Safeguarding

FORTH NATION is committed to cultivating environments in which people are treated with dignity, honour and appropriate care.

People and safe environments

Our commitment concerns children, young people, vulnerable adults, members, visitors, volunteers, leaders, guests and all participants in FORTH NATION activities.

Our commitments

  • Treat people with dignity and respect and maintain appropriate personal and ministry boundaries.
  • Maintain appropriate conduct standards for leaders, workers and volunteers.
  • Take allegations seriously and respond responsibly to concerns.
  • Protect confidentiality appropriately and avoid retaliation against people raising genuine concerns.
  • Escalate serious matters appropriately and cooperate with lawful authorities where required.

Report a concern

Contact the FORTH NATION Office at office@forthnation.org with the subject SAFEGUARDING CONCERN. Explain the concern and provide a safe way to contact you. Share only the details needed to understand and respond to the concern.

You may also consult Contact & Complaints for institutional correspondence. You do not need to wait for an internal response before contacting an appropriate authority.

Immediate danger

The website and email channels are not emergency services. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service, law-enforcement authority or safeguarding authority in your jurisdiction. Email is not a substitute for urgent intervention.

Confidentiality and appropriate action

Confidentiality will be respected, but absolute secrecy cannot be guaranteed where disclosure may be necessary to protect someone from harm or comply with law.

Prayer and pastoral support do not replace appropriate safeguarding, medical, legal or emergency action where such intervention is necessary.
